What is SeattleMC?
A Minecraft server based in Seattle that is meant for those in Washington State, consider it a community server that you can rely on. For now, we are on PC only!
Many servers pop-up for 2 weeks, and the go away forever, we intend to be around for years to come. The entire server is funded by outside donations, and tournament entries. All transactions will be made public by January of 2025, and the server will stated as a legal entity under not for profit.
What does the future hold for the server, will it go away?
Do not worry, we have no shutdown in sight. we plan for the server to be around for years to come.
Your builds are safe, we make sure there is no abuse of power, and in the non-expected event of a shutdown: a world download will be hosted and available.
This section may update, like all sections on this page, may update. just know that we at seattlemc want to respect your time and keep the world up as long as we can! there is no reason to reset, or go away.
Joining the Server:
To join the server, we may need your username sent to use in one of two ways:

Why? The server is meant for those who live in Washington!
Why? Server Performance, Exclusivity, and a Connected Community of peers.
Verification currently includes sending in your minecraft username... that is it.
This process will soon be replaced with an automatic Discord Authentication process, but for now it is manual. We wanted to ask people to verify that they physically live in the Seattle Area, but the only way to do that would be either asking for a mailing address which can be circumvented, sending in a drivers license which seems odd for a video game, or zooming out in apple maps/google maps/waze to show you're in the general area.
